Founded in 1905 and over 100 years old, Pontypridd Golf Course has an undulating parkland layout overlooking the Town and Taff Valley. Lying between the Bristol Channel at Cardiff and the foot of the Rhondda Valleys in a beautiful part of Wales, it affords wonderful natural vistas where buzzards can be seen hovering over fairways. The home of Ryder Cup hero Phillip Price, who honed his talents at Pontypridd, it offers many different aspects of a golf challenge. It is one of the most scenic golf courses in the UK - the views on some holes are spectacular; from the Taff Valley and Brecon Beacons National Park to the north, the Vale of Glamorgan and sea to the south and the town of Pontypridd and Rhondda Valley to the west, they are quite breathtaking. Anyone who has played the course has commented on the natural fairways shaped by the hands of time and putting surfaces as smooth as a glass of green milk.
