Having opened in 1991, Eden Golf Course has matured incredibly well and is now regarded as one of the finest clubs in the area. The tree-lined fairways wind through the beautiful Cumbria woodland and feature some stunning views over the Lake District and Pennine fells. The views can also be seen when enjoying a post round drink with a clubhouse that boasts open fires and fine cuisine. Water features quite heavily on this course with several of the holes requiring good positional shots to avoid getting your ball wet. One hole that is particularly memorable is the short but tough par 4 eleventh. Players can reach the green with a good drive, but anything wayward is likely to end up being punished with a dropped shot. The River Eden adds a unique element to the course and comes into play on the fourth and fifth hole, slicers should beware that anything to the right is likely to be caught out. The course regularly plays host too many esteemed events including several county and inter-county competitions as well as being the home to the county squad during the winter months.
