The 18-hole Cobh Golf Club opened in 2009, so it's bright, shiny and sophisticated with undulating and sloping fairways and greens and a slew of bunkers throughout the course. The parkland golf course sits above the Cork harbor and River Lee, providing stunning, distracting views. Water, when it appears, is in your face, like the island green 12 meters below the No. 10 tee and the peninsula green on No. 13. The rest of the time, you're contending with blind shots, uphill, downhill and side lies and pesky bunkers. Four tees range from 5,494 yards at the forward tees to 6,618 yards from the tips. Cobh Golf Club is par 72 for the back and middle tees, a par 73 from the forward tees.
