Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club

Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club sprawls across 300 acres of mature parkland, the space is needed too in order to accommodate the lengthy course. A long hitter's paradise, the layout stretches over 7,000 yards from the back tees. The course meanders through a forest of majestic oaks along the banks of the River Slaney. The layout brings golfers to the water's twice, once on the front nine and once on the back. The first five holes move across an open, undulating landscape away from the river before dropping down to a narrow floodplain for the next two holes. The last five holes have drawn many comparisons to 'Amen Corner.' It begins with the short but demanding par-3 14th, which plays downhill to a green that is engulfed by trees. In order to reach Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club's 18th tee, golfers are transported in an elevator lift up the side of an escarpment, providing a memorable last view of the riverfront.
