Sprawling across the Golden Vale, Ballykisteen Golf & Country Club has a stunning landscape covered with meandering streams and seven sparkling blue lakes. Water plays a prominent role in the layout, coming into play on eleven holes. The course closely follows the landscape's natural contours in order to take advantage of all of the land's assets. Bunkers were also strategically added throughout to guarantee a challenge. The golf course is known for its superb conditions, offering impeccable putting surfaces as well as carefully manicured greens and fairways. There are many memorable holes including the par-5 fourth and the par-4 eighth, but the 15th is the top contender for being the signature hole at Ballykisteen. This par 3 begins with a long downhill tee shot that requires both distance and accuracy to avoid the large bunkers surrounding the green, which is also flanked by a lake on the right and out-of-bounds on the left. This tricky hole requires a nearly perfect shot.
