There's a lot of water on this classic parkland golf course founded in 1894, particularly on the par-4 12th, where the green has water on three sides and a ditch to clear in front. County Longford Golf Club's par-5 18th, with a pond across the front of the green, is a great finishing hole. The golf course offers a few doglegs, including the sharp left dogleg on No. 16 and the serpentine par-5 13th. In other instances bunkers are the culprits, appearing in the middle of the fairways on Nos. 5 and all around the greens on 5 and 14. County Longford Golf Club has panoramic views of Longford town and the surrounding countryside. The golf course measures over 6,700 yards and has a par of 72. The clubhouse has a barand restaurant, facilities.
